The makings of greatness

The Setup:

We all have goals. But what about everything that goes into them? The stretching, the sleep, the meditation. You know, the makings of that greatness. It’s all a fundamental part of EVERY athlete’s narrative.

What We Did:

As part of the In-house team at Strava, we partnered with Open LA and Oura, to launch Strava’s new integration that help athletes see and celebrate the full story of their training.

My Role: Senior Brand Copywriter (In-House)

I worked alongside my brilliant writing partner, Jeanne Mack, from strategy and ideation stages to launch, crafting every detail while writing the script, go to market comms and social posts – all while implementing Brand Voice from partners and Strava.

I reached out to secure talent (sometimes via IG) and starting correspondence. This as was a bi-costal shoot so I took LA while my Co-Writing Bestie took NY.

We had the pleasure to interview real Strava athletes in Los Angeles and New York to see how rest and recovery are key to their training.

Throughout the campaign, we kept our audience engaged on social with short, shareable snippets that lived on IG and TikTok.

 

EVENT

We couldn’t put this campaign into the world without practicing what we preach.
Which is why we took to Venice, CA with 50 women athletes of all abilities for a day of movement.
